No, I do not do direct billing. Therefore, you will need to pay for the session up front and I will provide appropriate receipts for your payment that you can then submit for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
My cancellation policy is 48 hours, you will receive a reminder (by email and text) about our appointment 72 hours before to give you time to cancel or reschedule. If you do not cancel within 48 hours I will try to rebook your spot. If I cannot, you will be charged the price of your session as the space and time has been saved for you. Of course life happens and unplanned emergencies can arise, in such cases please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a session.
What is confidentiality?
Confidentiality and privacy are the foundation of the counselling relationship to create safety and trust. As a counsellor in private practice, my confidentiality policy is in line with the industry standard. Everything you share with me is held in strictest of confidence, and the only reason I would need to break confidentiality is if:
You were to tell me of a child or vulnerable adult being subjected to abuse or neglect.
You were to disclose an immediate intention to end your life or the life of another person.
If you’re involved in a legal matter and the court subpoenas your file.
